Since 1997, the Elektrum Energy Centre in Jūrmala has been an educational destination inviting everyone to explore the world of energy and discover what happens beyond the electrical socket.
The Energy Centre helps visitors discover:
- the role of energy in our everyday lives and society;
- how electricity is generated from solar, wind and water energy;
- how electricity reaches our homes;
- how to use energy wisely and efficiently;
- how our everyday habits affect energy consumption and the environment.
At the Energy Centre, knowledge becomes an experience, allowing everyone to explore the world of energy in an engaging way and gain a deeper understanding of its importance in our everyday lives.
