Latvenergo AS is committed to ensuring the accessibility of its website elektrum.lv in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 445 of 14 July 2020, “Procedures by which institutions publish information on the internet” (hereinafter – Regulations No. 445).

This accessibility statement applies to the website elektrum.lv.
A simplified accessibility assessment has been carried out for the website in accordance with the guidelines prepared by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development (VARAM) on the accessibility requirements for the digital environment (WCAG 2.1 AA), as well as the “Guidelines for assessing the impact of compliance with accessibility requirements for institutional websites and for substantiating disproportionate burden.”

How accessible is this website?

Non-compliance with the requirements specified in Regulations No. 445:

  • The website has partial visual focus, and keyboard navigation using the TAB key needs improvement.
  • The headings used on the website generally follow HTML heading structure principles, but some adjustments are required.
  • Application forms do not provide appropriate error messages.
  • The website contains documents in Excel and PDF formats that are not accessible to assistive technologies.
  • When zooming in on text size, the authorisation window and text blocks such as “Client information” and “More” are not visible or readable, requiring horizontal scrolling.
  • The colour palette used on the website follows the Electrum brand style guidelines, which are based on the registered trademark’s colour scheme. In areas where insufficient colour contrast remains, users are encouraged to use browser extensions (such as Color Enhancer or High Contrast), adjust contrast settings at the browser or operating system level, or use the alternative ways of accessing information provided in the section “Accessibility alternatives.”
  • Animated elements, such as video banners, cannot be paused or stopped.
