Energy efficiency is one of the siosts of the sustainability of Latvenergo. Since 1997, the Elektrum Energy Efficiency Centre, the only one of its kind in the Baltic states, has been operating under the auspices of Latvenergo with the purpose of creating public awareness about the efficient use of energy resources to make every day of Latvia more beautiful, as well as friendlier to the environment and people. The team of the Energy Efficiency Centre is convinced that actions and daily habits can reduce the spending of families on energy sources and help us protect and use our joint environmental resources reasonably.

The competencies accumulated by Energy Efficiency Centre experts, years of research and proven recommendations provided by them are regularly used by households, businesses, public administration bodies and educational institutions. You are welcome to ask for our advice about:

  • lighting solutions,
  • heating and ventilation solutions,
  • selection and efficient use of household electrical appliances,
  • the use of renewable energy sources,
  • electric vehicles and charging options thereof.

The Energy Efficiency Centre offers free individual consultations, a wide range of information materials, seminars and webinars, as well as other educational activities for everyone interested in improving energy efficiency in their daily life and home.

We also invite Elektrum customers to join the Energo pulse programme, which enables customers to compare electricity consumption at their homes with similar households in Latvia and receive personalised energy-efficiency recommendations. We offer both face-to-face workshops as well as online classes for pupils, while educators have access to a wide range of methodological materials and worksheets.

At the Energy Efficiency Centre, we also demonstrate innovative exhibits and various electrical devices that help reduce energy consumption daily.

Events, seminars, workshops and expert consultations organised by the Energy Efficiency Centre are free of charge for every stakeholder.
